This Cookie Policy explains how LingEx Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on LingEx websites, browser games, online services and related platforms.
1. What technologies are used
Cookies and similar technologies can include browser storage, local storage, pixels, SDK identifiers and application identifiers. LingEx does not use fingerprinting to recover anonymous continuity.
2. How LingEx uses them
- Essential functions: registered authentication, session security and required service operation.
- Anonymous continuity: a separate continuity credential may be created only when there is learning, game or other state worth preserving. The policy targets rolling continuity of up to 365 days, subject to browser storage and deletion by the user.
- Preferences: remembering settings such as language, display or game preferences.
- Measurement: ordinary first-party page and product measurement is normally ephemeral-only and does not require a universal account or guest identity. Persistent longitudinal measurement and governed research linkage are separately controlled and default denied.
- Advertising: advertising is a separate purpose. Global advertising is currently disabled on the public site, so this policy does not itself set advertising cookies.
3. Managing choices
You can control browser storage through your browser settings and use the available LingEx privacy controls to refuse non-essential measurement. Refusing measurement does not disable registered authentication, supported anonymous continuity or essential learning and game functions. Blocking essential storage may affect those functions.
4. Retention
Authentication, continuity, progress, measurement and operational security data have different retention rules. Measurement events and any persistent measurement subject are governed separately from durable learner or account state. LingEx minimises raw network metadata, and retention or deletion follows the applicable service and privacy controls.
