This Privacy Policy explains how LingEx Ltd (“LingEx”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use our websites, online learning platform, educational games, mobile apps, private tuition services and related communications.

This policy applies to LingEx services including lingex.co.uk, auth.lingex.co.uk, LingEx subdomains, LingEx browser games, LingEx mobile apps, and private English tuition or educational services provided by LingEx.

6. Your rights, data export and deletion

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal information.

Registered users may request a copy of personal information associated with their LingEx account. Exports may include account details, linked identities, preferences, progress, learning and game activity, consents and derived personal profiles where applicable. Exports do not disclose other users’ information, security secrets or LingEx proprietary algorithms.

When an account is deleted, LingEx deletes or irreversibly anonymises personal information, subject to limited legal, security and record-keeping requirements. Account-linked usage and behaviour remain personal data until that process is complete.

LingEx may retain genuinely anonymous learning and usage records for research, statistical analysis, safety and product improvement. Anonymous records may retain a random identifier so actions by the same anonymous individual can be studied together over time. LingEx must destroy the account mapping and remove information reasonably capable of identifying that former user.
