Copyright & Licensing
Copyright © 2026 LingEx Ltd. All rights reserved, except where expressly stated otherwise.
Proprietary LingEx material
Unless a specific licence is expressly stated, all content, software, databases, data structures, designs, documentation, research materials, publications, audiovisual material and other works created and published by LingEx are proprietary.
All copyright, database rights and other applicable intellectual property rights in such material are reserved.
Publication or public accessibility of LingEx material does not grant permission to reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, commercially exploit or create derivative works from that material except where permitted by law or by an express licence granted by LingEx.
LingEx registries
LingEx may expressly release particular registry resources as open public infrastructure.
A LingEx-owned registry dataset, schema, interchange definition, machine-readable specification, document, methodological document or whitepaper is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-SA 4.0) only where the relevant publication or release explicitly states that licence.
Where CC BY-SA 4.0 is expressly declared, users may copy, redistribute, adapt and use the licensed material, including commercially, subject to the attribution and ShareAlike requirements of the licence.
Where no explicit open or alternative licence is declared, the normal LingEx proprietary copyright default applies.
Third-party material identified, cited, reconciled, incorporated or linked within LingEx registry resources remains subject to its own applicable rights and licence terms. The LingEx licence applies only to rights that LingEx is entitled to license.
Software
LingEx software and source code are licensed, if at all, under the licence stated for the relevant software repository or release. An open licence applying to registry material does not automatically apply to LingEx software.
Third-party material
LingEx resources may identify, cite, link to, interoperate with or incorporate material originating from third parties.
Copyright, database rights and other rights in third-party material remain with their respective rights holders. A LingEx licence applies only to rights held by LingEx and does not override the rights or licence terms applying to third-party material.
Where third-party material is included or distributed, its applicable source, attribution and licence information is identified separately where required.
Explicit licensing controls
A licence applies to LingEx material only where LingEx expressly identifies that material as being released under that licence.
No open licence applying to one LingEx dataset, registry, document or software component is to be interpreted as applying to other LingEx material.
Except for material expressly released under CC BY-SA 4.0 or another identified licence, no licence is granted by implication.
This Copyright & Licensing page is itself proprietary LingEx material. Its description of open licences for specified registry resources does not place this page under those licences.
Names and branding
The LingEx name, logos, visual identity, names of LingEx products and services, and associated branding are not licensed for reuse merely because particular LingEx data or documentation is released under an open licence.
All rights in such branding are reserved.
