Data Sources, Licensing and Open Data
LingEx uses public-domain, open-licensed, permission-based and proprietary research sources. We record source, provenance and licensing information so material can be used and published according to its own terms.
Open data and ShareAlike releases
Openly redistributable datasets, and LingEx adaptations that must be shared under their source licences, are published as separately licensed packages in the LingEx Public Data repository. Large downloads are distributed through repository releases rather than from the LingEx web server.
Each package has its own licence, attribution, change notice, manifest and checksums. A licence applying to one package does not apply to the LingEx software platform, unrelated LingEx data, or independently authored LingEx content unless expressly stated.

The live site now serves a promoted public source summary generated from the data pipeline. This is a runtime-safe index of approved public-facing source records, not a direct view of pipeline authoring tables.

What is not published
Restricted source files, private canonical archives, production database dumps, security information, proprietary algorithms, internal scoring and reconciliation methods, and unrelated LingEx-authored material are not included in public data packages.
